The 22-year-old Nigerian singer is thrilled to be joined by American singer and Rare beauty mogul, Selena Gomez for a new version of his hit song, Calm Down from his debut album Rave and Roses released on 25 March this year.
Through an announcement on his official Twitter account yesterday, Rema confirmed that the song drops this week.
“Calm Down with @selenagomez out this Friday! I can’t wait,” Rema added on his page with the single’s cover art.
Selena Gomez also shared a little snippet of what the highly anticipated music project sounds like in a post on her official Instagram account, “An all-new version of @heisrema ‘Calm Down’ is coming 8/26-so excited for this one! Pre-save in bio.”
Fans of both artists have been celebrating and jubilating all over social media expressing their joy and love after receiving the news of this collaboration. This is a milestone in Rema’s career. It marks a new start which is going to unleash more future projects that might come in with other International artists and a bigger platform.
The ‘Afrobeats’ and ‘Afrorave’ star has also been having an ongoing North America tour. Nigerian singer, Rema, recently stormed Los Angeles to host a concert, which was graced by American singer, Selena Gomez.
