The Kabale University leadership sacked Dr. Nafiu Lukman Abiodun, the Head of the Department for Economics and Statistics after being found guilty of sexual harassment and relieved him of his duties. He would allegedly demand sex from female students in exchange for marks and for those that refused to comply, always got retakes.
For his unprofessional behavior, the Board directed that he be severely reprimanded and his interdiction is lifted. Dr. Nafiu’s contract as Senior Lecturer – Statistics will also not be renewed henceforth for it expired on November 11th, 2022.
He is one of the many Lecturers from the various higher institutions of learning across the country who misbehave with their students by making these indecent proposals and demands. Below is his termination letter from the University Board.
