The Islamic University in Uganda participated in the Uganda-Turkiye Investment, Trade, Industry, and Tourism Summit which attracted both local and international investors, mainly Turkish to showcase the investment opportunities that the university has to the viable stakeholders.
The Rector of the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) Professor Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda engaged potential investors during the Uganda-Turkiye Investment, Trade, Industry, and Tourism Summit held at the Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala.

The Summit held at the Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala saw a delegation from the University led by the Rector Prof Gyagenda who engaged potential investors during the Summit held ahead of IUIU’s construction plans of a teaching hospital.
With the university set to start commercial farming, establish a Faculty of Engineering and construct a teaching hospital on the different campuses in Mbale, Kween, Arua, and Hoima respectively, the University’s Rector Prof Gyangenda interacted with several investors to lobby them in partnering with IUIU ahead of the university’s plans.
The Islamic University In Uganda was the only academic institution that took part in the summit.
