Prof. Patrick Edrine Kyamanywa has been officially installated as the new Vice Chancellor of the Uganda Martyrs University succeeding Prof. Chrisestom Maviiri who carried on the mantle in the past 5 years.
The installation event was graced by members of the Episcopal conference of Uganda led by its Chairman and as well the Chancellor of Uganda Martyrs University, Rt. Rev. Bishop Anthony Ziwa.
While speaking to MCI Radio, Prof. Patrick Edrine Kyamanywa said that his vision is to have the university as a sustainable university of international repute and the preferred center for education, research and innovation.
“I want the institution to be a reputable place where students, faculties and staff are able to achieve their fullest potential inorder to influence local, national and global development leading to social transformation.” said Prof. Patrick Edrine Kyamanywa.

In his speech after being installed as the new Vice Chancellor by Rt. Rev. Bishop Anthony Ziwa, Prof. Patrick Edrine Kyamanywa thanked his predecessor Prof. Chrisestom Maviiri for the good work he did for the University.
“I would like to thank most Prof. Chrisestom Maviiri for the tremendous work he did during the COVID times. He made the institution one of the first universities to embrace online learning.” Prof. Patrick Edrine Kyamanywa said.
Prof. Patrick Edrin Kyamanywa has vast experience as he is a professor of Surgery, a seasoned University leader, healthcare provider and researcher.
