As the “Dream and Progress” regime led by His Excellence Cassious David Kisaakye is summarizing its official duties, Uganda Martyrs University is in search of a new Union president for the year 2022-2023.
This time around only two candidates are contesting for the union presidency and according to the electoral commission, this is because the second-year students who have to take up this position spent most of their academic time online due to the lockdown caused by the Covid 19 pandemic and are not well versed with the leadership of Uganda Martyrs University.
Nsubuga Emmanuel Francis and Tugume Denise Kihembo the contestants from the faculty of Business administration and management were vetted on 13th April 2022 and they have officially started campaigns today.
According to the electoral commission, elections are to take place on 28th April 2022 and they are to be physical, unlike last year when they were conducted online.
