Renowned City Fashionpreneur Oscar Kampala Honored by Parliament of Uganda

Oscar Kampala, a young fashion designer and entrepreneur who recently graduated from Makerere University, has been recognized by the Parliament of Uganda for his exceptional contributions to the community.

On Monday, February 20, Oscar was invited to Parliament for a special meeting with the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Thomas Tayebwa who commended him for his remarkable achievements.

At a young age, Oscar has become the head of a successful fashion parlor in town, creating numerous jobs for the youth and receiving continental and national awards for his outstanding work.

He has also been at the forefront of various societal movements, such as “1000 Men in Oscar Kampala” and “300 Men in Oscar Kampala,” which have encouraged Ugandans to appreciate locally made brands.

Last year, Oscar was named the “Most Inspirational Youth of the Year” in Uganda. He also has two continental awards to his name, having been recognized as the “Best Young Entrepreneur of the Year Africa” and “Best Celebrity Stylist of the Year” in Zambia in 2022.

Oscar’s success has not gone unnoticed by international celebrities, with Jidenna, Kizz Daniel, Bennie Man, Dj Neptune, Fireboy DML, Oxlade, Eddy Kenzo, and many more seeking out his services.

He has raised the Ugandan flag higher by styling these stars, proving that local talent can match and even surpass international standards.

                                       

Oscar was among the 13221 students who graduated from the recently concluded Makerere University 73rd Graduation as one of the best. His graduation marked the beginning of a new phase in his career, and he has continued to inspire and empower young people in Uganda.

In recognition of his remarkable contributions to the fashion industry and the community at large, Oscar Kampala has been applauded by the Parliament of Uganda.

His relentless pursuit of excellence and dedication to uplifting young people in Uganda serve as an inspiration to many, and his future in the industry looks bright.
