Cavendish University Law school recently elected Emmanuel Sabwengye as the new law society president to spearhead the activities of the society for the year 2022 to 2023.
In an interview with MCI radio, the newly elected president highlighted how he plans on uniting the various students in his faculty and providing accountability as well.
“I come in to provide accountability for students, being student inclusive regardless of the various backgrounds,” Sabwengye said.
A lover of novels, Sabwengye sees himself becoming a great lawyer and leader in 5 years to come.
“5 years down the road, I see myself as a great lawyer and leader,” Sabwengye told us.
Emmanuel Sabwengye who is the former president of the Human Rights Club at Cavendish University also stated that if the opportunity arose in the nearby future, he would run for the position of president, of the Uganda Law Society.
“Definitely, most of my leadership contestations and intentions to stand have come by need, not by surprise, as I feel there is something I can provide.” He spoke.
The third-year law student will run the society as its head from this year till mid next year.
